Festival or show off?

Ganesh Chaturthi being the biggest festival in Mumbai, even bigger than Dipawali, surely welcomes huge Ganpati idols, playing of loud music and a lot of faith.
But it seems like this festival has come down to a position where it seems more like a show off of wealth and power. Who's got a bigger and better Ganpati idol is stronger.
People sponsoring for Ganpati idols insisting on their name being showcased as a sponsor proves how selfish people have turned themselves. The news of lalbaugh Sevaks misbehaving  with people shows how blind people have become in power.
With songs like Chikni chameli and Munni badnaam huyi playing in pandaals is so ridiculous that it kills the generosity of the festival. This festival doesn't even seem like a festival but more of a show-off.
It's time some people come ahead, and save this festival or else in no time,  there'll be even more ridiculous songs played, instead of prasad, Alcohol might get served.
